Retail Sales Associate
Overview:
The greeter associate is responsible for greeting all visitors and customers who enter the buildingGreeters are primarily responsible for ensuring that visitors are signed into the visitor log and accounted for during the duration of their visit or for validating the identification of a customer entering the store to purchaseGreeters are responsible for operating within the Maine Adult Use program guidelines per East Coast Cannabis' best practices and maintaining an individual identification card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy, State of MaineGreeter
Responsibilities:
Monitors security systems for customers at the store entrance, permitting access to customers on an individual basis after verifying the customer's age via valid identificationFollows ECC protocols for customer verification and first purchase onboarding, collecting and retaining customer identification per Maine regulations.
Captures all required data from entering customers including name, age & DOB, zip code, state, ID expiration and ID numberInputs customer information data into the POS softwareSigns non-customer visitors into the Visitor Log, assigning and providing a visitor badge for the individual to wear upon entering the facilityEnsures identification meets state requirements for limited area access visitors and appropriately fills out the visitor log with the validated informationAnswers phones and online messages within brand standards and following customer service protocols, including email inbox and online digital reviewsPresents discount options to customers when appropriate before granting access to the storeDemonstrates proficient product knowledge and an ability to accurately represent all retail products to ECC brand standardsRelays product knowledge, specifications and information to customers as a representative of the East Coast Brand, using language and information in line with brand values and standardsPerforms basic inventory management including daily counts and reconciliation and follows company best practices for inventory storage, handling and movement as assigned by leadershipMerchandises and zones store inventory to maintain brand aesthetics as appropriate given customer flow and or as instructed by leadershipFollows ECC security best practices and basic protocolsPerforms basic maintenance and updates to in-house menus, displays and literatureResearches industry trends and educational resources as delegated by leadershipDaily cleaning and maintenance of the retail store to include bathrooms, floors, general dusting, displays, and any other maintenance tasks as delegated by leadershipSalary$15 USD per hourRequired SkillsEducation:
High School Diploma required
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year customer service experience requiredSales, retail or restaurant experience preferredCannabis industry experience preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite requiredPosition Specific Skills:
Must demonstrate the ability to perform regulatory tasks with a high level of accuracy and detailAbility to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining strict accuracy on compliance tasksStrong customer service soft skills requiredAbility to use various technologies to capture customer information and maintain digital business profiles as neededPersonal Characteristics:
