As part of Timberland's Footwear Design team, support the efforts of the Designers throughout the design process. Strive to create footwear that meet trends and leverage the brand DNA of Style, Performance and Green for the consumers of your category. Assist in bringing the seasonal creative direction to life into the product briefs including functional, cost and aesthetic objectives of the Timberland consumer.

Education/
Experience:
Years of Related Professional
Experience: 3-5.
Bachelor degree, preferably in Industrial Design or equivalent. 3-5 years experience in Footwear Product Design or equivalent product design experience.
Skills:
Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written, in English.
Strong computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, and Excel required.
Special Requirements:
Domestic and international travel required up to 25% of time
Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of the product line in order to support the design team through all stages in the design process, including: prepare seasonal design milestones, color cads and tech packs; inspiration, style & product concept boards or sketches, materials selection, color application and roll out; prepare boards for presentation of concepts and ideas throughout the process. Initiate and provide focused, functional, commercial and innovative footwear concepts that are evolutionary and revolutionary to the Timberland brand.

Work collaboratively with Product Management and Development team using creative problem solving skills to fulfill product and calendar objectives in order to meet category goals.
