Account Executive - Apparel - East Coast (Sports Marketing/Sales)

As part of Timberland's Sales Team, this higher level, experienced Account Executive is responsible for representing the Timberland brand with apparel retailers and other prospective customers while developing long term business relationships. This role will be based on the East Coast, reporting to the HQ.
Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+.
Bachelor degree or equivalent 7+ years apparel sales experience in a similar industry required.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong business partnerships.
Working knowledge of basic retail math measurements (i.e., gross margin, turn and markdowns, open to buy).
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, organizational and dynamic presentation skills.
Special Requirements:
Overnight domestic travel, by auto and air, up to 60% required.
Key Responsibilities
Identifies opportunities in the marketplace to place Timberland apparel through multiple channels of distribution. Capitalizes on existing retailer relationships to quickly establish meaningful connections for the Timberland brand.
Meets and exceeds assigned seasonal sales operating plans (sell in & sell through) for an assigned territory and/or an assigned group of accounts.
Identifies new account opportunities in order to meet growth targets, possesses a thorough understanding of the marketplace (competitor information, consumer understanding, current/future market penetration, etc.) and helps drive forecast accuracy.
Develops and successfully leverages cross-functional internal relationships (Sales Planning, Marketing, Credit, etc).
Ensures proper visual standards are being adhered to by our customers, works proactively and collaboratively with customers to properly leverage marketing programs, and supports and leverages Timberland's commerce and justice platform.
Creates a service distinction with our retail partners through detailed account planning and a thorough understanding of our customer's business.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
