Vice President/General Merchandise Manager, Footwear

Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the Global Footwear Merchandising organization to drive integrated, profitable and relevant merchandising strategies and product stories across multiple categories to drive consumer centricity, market and channel connectivity. Responsible for commercial balance, assortment segmentation, pricing and margins of the global footwear assortment. Must have a deep understanding of markets, channels and product to lead merchants in pre-season financial and merchandise and line planning of the assortment. Will direct the Merchandise Planning capability for the business, ensuring both global and category financial targets (Sales, Pairs, GM, Pricing strategy) are reconciled with the MFP ensuring regional and channel and assortment decisions meet financial goals. Will direct Category Leaders and their respective Product Management teams in their line management and driving execution with Design and Product Development counterparts.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Ensure that line plan and product briefings efficiently express the global brand creative and seasonal design vision, while maintaining regional relevance and balances commercial needs, brand strategy and innovation. 20% of time involved and relative importance 5 ? Very High
+ Successfully manage and orchestrate global and regional merchant teams through dynamic, visible and inspirational purpose-led, performance-driven leadership that positively impacts global and regional assortments to drive profitable growth. 20% of time involved and relative importance 5 ? + Lead Global and Regional merchandising teams in planning and defining merchandise financial plan, assortment plan and line plan, including global core assortments, must buy assortments/hero products. 20% of time involved and relative importance 5 ? Very High
+ Align with VP of Global Merchandising and Global Marketing on global brand and consumer strategies. 10% of time involved and relative importance 5 ? Very High
+ Responsible for global and regional cost pricing strategy, in collaboration with Director of Costing and Pricing and with Regional Merchandisers. 10% of time involved and relative importance 5 ? Very High
+ Lead all assortment analytics, post-season analysis and pre-season analytics efforts to inform data driven decision making. 10% of time involved and relative importance 5- Very High
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ 10+ years in leadership role in product merchandising and/or product management in global footwear organization
+ Bachelor?s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Product Development, Retail Merchandising, Design or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and knowledge, skills and abilities
+ Strong generalist footwear experience with working knowledge of all phases of product creation and execution and a track record in developing and growing successful footwear lines
+ Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to demonstrate a product strategy for the future with a deep understanding of the global landscape and the Timberland consumer
+ Proven experience in mobilizing a team toward the business objectives
+ Ability to recruit, retain and develop individuals for future opportunities
+ Ability to work well with individuals from a variety of functions and backgrounds inspiring them to work together to execute a plan
+ Must have a deep understanding of markets, channels and product to lead merchants in pre-season financial and merchandise line planning
+ Up to 30% global travel required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
