Kodiak - National Sales Manager

Job Description
Position Summary: As part of VF's Workwear organization, lead the sales and distribution strategies for the Kodiak Group footwear brands (Kodiak Safety and Lifestyle, Terra and Dickies) within the United States to achieve brand and business goals. Meet/exceed budgeted revenue target by managing the team to secure additional SKU placement, dominate marketing presence at retail, and target new account openings. Lead a field-based sales team including in-house and agency sales representatives. Optimize account level service and drive high order fill levels by directing the team to actively manage the flow of goods for their business. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute sales and distribution strategies to achieve financial objectives and growth of the brands through data-driven decision making while remaining consistent with overall business strategy.

2. Optimize account level service and drive high order fill levels by directing the team to actively manage the flow of goods for their business. Oversee operational activities for sales team including: receipt of forecasts/orders in accordance with planning calendar; coordination with accounts' traffic department to insure orders are picked up within the shipping window, markdown and return budgets and resolving issues with credit, traffic routing, information systems and customer service.

3.Recruit, train and motivate the sales team including in-house Account Executives and external sales agents to develop detailed account plans focused on achieving financial targets while delivering high level of customer service.

4.Collaborate with Marketing team to drive planning and execution of regional and account-specific marketing products including in-store brand presence and consumer facing executions.

5. Actively engage in the product development process to optimize distribution gains and performance of key product initiatives. Utilize experience and knowledge of marketplace and competition to assist Product Development team.

6. Partner with Sales Planning to ensure accurate financial forecasting, inventory planning and key service level metrics. Manage financial tools to drive sustainable and profitable growth and reach assigned revenue targets. Work closely with business planning team to set targets, gather and verify financial and sales forecasts, and execute against previous forecasts.

7. Develop positive business relationships with senior management of key accounts as a representative of VF Workwear; stay informed of competitive information to drive business acumen and decision making.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 15+ years working in footwear/apparel sales management; preferably in the outdoor and industrial/occupational footwear category
Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Skills
Ability to think creatively, solve problems in a group setting, drive division-wide solutions, and manage across functional boundaries
Solid business planning skills, strong written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, organizational and presentation skills
Prior experience in managing team(s) of diverse and highly motivated sales individuals with record of achieving/exceeding sales plans
Basic computer skills, Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Ability to travel, by car and plane, overnight up to 50%.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
