Timberland - Manager, Buying

Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for building Men's and Women's category assortments for North American Timberland Specialty, Retail, Outlet and Ecommerce stores. Deliver successful business performance in all three channels as it pertains to budgeted revenue, margin and inventory targets ? manage OTB and key item plans accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Merchandise team to build a matrix development that drives the assortment to achieve- Revenue; Margin dollars and rate; Inventory days of supply
Work with planning teams to ensure we are hitting OTB expectations. Build assortments broken out to the door level Communicate intent of buys - Marketing: Develop plans on how we bought the product; Visual: Ensure intent of buy is coming alive in store; Allocation: Ensure product is shipped to the appropriate doors; Store teams
Connect with other Category Buyers to build cohesive story telling in-store.
Partner with field to get guidance on customer feedback.
Recruit, develop and motivate direct report(s) with the goal of creating a high performance culture where managers lead by example.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Textile, or Fashion Merchandising (or equivalent).
5 ? 7 years in increased buying/merchandising. Prefer Specialty Store background in appropriate categories.
Proactively communicate conflicts and must have the ability to build strong relationships with peers, support groups and have strong leadership capabilities.
Imperative to be able to work in a team atmosphere and the ability to problem solve.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, required.
Interpret high level direction to adapt to business needs.
Ability to multitask and manage and develop people for future growth.
Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
